Chilly Gonzales has nice things to say about them, The Guardian has nice things to say about them, the Mexicans will have nice things to say about them (once they’ve played their shows with Hot Chip over there later this week) – and hopefully once you’ve watched their brand new video you’ll have equally nice things to say about VIMES. We’re happy like kids on Christmas that we’ll be releasing their debut single “UpStairs” on November 2nd through Humming Records / Rough Trade Distribution.

Today isn’t just the day millions of people will start pre-ordering the iPhone 5 – No, you can also actually buy the brand new EP “Le Mans” by the amazing Belfast based Yes Cadets TODAY and hold the copy in your hands in just a couple of days. Or if you go digital, you can listen to it right away. The EP is released today, Sept. 14., in Germany, Switzerland and Austria – all other countries will be able to buy their music on October 8th. Sorry about the wait! (Music industry lead time PR, distribution, nanana reasons, you know…?)

Help Klub Drushba stay!

One of our favourite clubs needs help! Klub Drushba in Halle/Saale is an amazing place and has always been a home to great music. We’ve had a brief but deep history with the lovely people who run the club – In Golden Tears played their first ever show there, and other bands like Flashguns made some of their first appearances on German soil at this venue. Now the government has shut down the place and came up with sh*tloads of requirements that the club owner needs to take care of before he can re-open. This basically results in sh*tloads of money he needs to invest. That’s why Klub Drushba needs as much as help as possible from music lovers such as yourselves to be able to re-open as soon as possible. Follow the link to the crowd funding website where you can help make a difference with as little as five bucks. There’s also bags, CDs and a concert flat rate you can get in return.

We at Humming Records have decided to throw some of our money into the hat and help Klub Drushba stay. This also means we’ll be having this year’s label party at Klub Drushba. The sooner, the better!
