Hidden States

Adam Day AKA HIDDEN STATES, formerly known as County Line Runner, was on the verge of a breakthrough in 2019 after releasing just two songs. Although HIDDEN STATES was still in its infancy as an artist, he shared the stage with the likes of Neil Young and received support from Marcus Mumford and producer Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur, The Pretenders, New Order), among others. Even the hit Apple TV series Ted Lasso wanted to use his music and Alex da Kid flew Day to LA… a dream!
But then a global pandemic occurred, affecting tours, festival appearances, live sessions and everything else – the EP was released, while Day could only watch…
Three years later and with a name change to HIDDEN STATES, Day releases “Fix To Fix”, an understated yet highly infectious song that sits musically between U2’s “The Unforgettable Fire” and Coldplay’s “Parachutes”. Produced by Bill Ryder Jones (ex-The Coral), the track reflects his past three years and is the first precursor to the debut EP that is due out in March.
